The wedding in the canyon...

This day went by too fast. I thought I would have been waiting around looking at the clock wondering when I should put the dress on... but no.. I was looking at the clock wondering if I was going to hold up the wedding!

Cayden agreed to walk his mom down the isle and "give me away" it was very special to me.

Mom was a big support... always trying to make sure everything was smooth like butta My dear grandma... I love her more than words and grandpa too... Me and the kids... with our CHEEEEESSEEE faces on
Could not have pulled this off without Brooke and Alanzo (wedding decorator/dear friend) and Leslie (camera woman/dear friend)Heather- another camera lady/ dear friend! Everyone made this event so much fun for us!Lets give credit to the music artist who came and made the event very calming ... for me.... mostly for me..... and for me as well.
gotta dance with Barb...Mindy and her new little guy Ethen... he was adorable!
Thank you to family and friends who all pitched in and helped me get this done in a week!

SET FOR SEPTEMBER 27TH 2008

A hike... in the fall leaves... couldn't live anywhere cooler!

Up near Sundance- 10 miles from the house... we fall upon this landscape! I am finding all the new hiking trails! This one I took everyone on, leads up to some falls just two miles up. About the first mile was filled with "my feet hurt" "are we almost there?" "can we take a break" but those soon faded away as we traveled up the mountain into the fall leaves and this crazy thing called nature made us all want to get to the top!

"oowwwhh it's cold!" Syd said- as we got to the first waterfall...
Chris & Syd try to take a side trail down by the falls-

And at the second falls, we travel into the deep oasis! Adventure is written all over Syd's face :)

Cool tree along the way!
I'm just in the hugging mood.. nature makes my heart happy!

Da boys..... just being the cool beings that they are....

Chris and his little girl :)
Me- in love with this hike wanting to hug the world heheehehe i'm a nerd! a big one... make me stop!

Cayden... soaking it all in- enjoying the fact that after this we are hiking down, which is much easier :)

We all wear hats....

Here is the story... Chris's mom came to visit us- she brought us gifts from her recent trip to Peru- hats! Yes the first thing my son and I did when we had a minute was put them on and take pictures of ourselves... Laughing out of control and talking about how ready we both are to hit the slopes! Let it snow... Cayden and I are ready mother nature! Bring it!

Yes.. it's me...I've turned into THAT SOCCER MOM!

So at this point in my life I have accepted my role... I have come to realize that I have turned into that soccer mom that everyone finds a bit annoying. The one who is jumping out of her chair, screaming at the top of her lungs, and waving at her son on the field every time he looks her way.

Yes this has become who I am.... and I am not ashamed of it. I thought I would grow up to be the calm, cool, and collected mother who does not get ruffled by her child's games... Nope, I can say that is not going to happen.

Last week Cayden scored his first goal! Let me tell you the look on his face was priceless and seeing that prideful fist pump he threw out at me.... couldn't have made me more pleased.

I apologized once to Cayden after the game for screaming and doing that dance that I do on the side lines.. he shrugged his shoulders. Maybe he enjoys hearing my screeching tone over the coaches voice... I don't know... maybe not. Maybe he just realizes that it's not going to stop... at least not from this proud soccer mom!
